Latest: Covid-19 Lockdown 2.0 Update for Renters, Buyers and Sellers in Bromley

I think we all knew it was coming, and on Saturday night it was confirmed as Boris Johnson instigated Lockdown 2.0.

From yesterday, Thursday, November 5th we entered 27 days of lockdown until Wednesday December 2nd.

The good news is that the property market will remain open for renters, buyers and sellers in Bromley.

Here we answer your frequently asked questions, so you know exactly what to expect during Lockdown 2.0.

Can I put my home in Bromley on the market?

Yes. Our team at David James are ready to take your call and assist with the valuation of your property. We strictly follow all government guidelines and are happy to explain all the measures we have in place including the option of a video valuation.

Can I view properties in Bromley?

Yes. We offer video tours for many of our properties in Bromley and can still conduct safe in-person viewings through our proper use of PPE, social distancing and strict hygiene rules.

Can I move home in Bromley?

Those renting a property, letting agents and landlords should be aware of and follow the Government guidance on coronavirus and renting which contains further advice that may also be applicable.

Initial viewings should be virtual wherever possible.” 

Viewings should be arranged by appointment only. ‘Open house’ viewings should not take place.”

When viewing properties in person, you should avoid touching surfaces, regularly wash your hands and use hand sanitiser. Open all internal doors within your property before a viewing and ensure surfaces, such as door handles, are cleaned after each viewing. We recommend that owners vacate their property while viewings are taking place to minimise unnecessary contact.

Social distancing should be practised in line with public health advice.”
